The Uma Maxi Dress is a classic piece slowly and ethically handcrafted from 100%  organic cotton with soft textured stripe detailing. This self-adjustable wrap design provides the perfect balance between a casual and styled look with the special addition of pockets and cute ruffle sleeves for an elegant finish.

We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Sewing the Seeds is a women’s empowerment initiative that uses education and creativity in slow fashion to help break the cycle of poverty for Indian women. Their centre offers training in business, finance, and women’s health, fostering self-confidence in a supportive environment.

We’re working with Saheli women to launch Saheli Kapas, a Cotton Project, to support and empower female farmers at the root of the supply chain. Saheli Women believe true fashion starts with the Earth and the women who nurture and farm it.

"I bought a Black in M. I am a size US8( on the lean side). The dress fits well in the bodice with the right amount of give. ( not too tight, not too snug). I had been hesitant in ordering this due to sizing but I think I am glad, I didn’t size down. The dress has the right length( sits well above the ankles, I am 165cm tall). Yet to wear in on an occasion but seems like a good choice for a float casual black dress:). Very happy with the purchase. PS this is my 4th DOI dress:) Love them all!!"
